A Better Way to Care
For pets. For people. For love.
But what makes our practice special isn’t just what we do. It’s our focus and commitment. Helping your pet live the happiest, most pain-free, highest quality and longest life possible is more than just a job to us. It is our calling in life.
But, most importantly, you will see it in the wag of your pet’s tail or in a quiet purr. We built this place because we see a better way to care for animals and the people who love them. Call us now, and we’ll make a difference in your life.
We just took our 9 week old Rottweiler puppy for his second round of vaccines. I was at Kindred for two hours. The staff is friendly listened to my concerns, educated us and really got to know our dog. We would highly recommend.
This is the absolute most considerate and involved vet I have ever been to. Kristy is amazing and caring and literally saved my dogs life and when it was hard she encouraged my instincts and motivated me to enjoy any and all time we have with our pup. I love KIVS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Thorough visit to investigate issue! Has a warm calming affect on my pets. When in the room Dr. Walter gives the impression you are her only concern. I give her credit. She is one person to handle so many. She does a fabulous job.

Call NowIn honor of John B. Walter
March 6, 1952 — April 19, 2025
My father, John B. Walter, has been an integral part of KIVS since its inception. He has been a part of everything we’ve done over the years and helped with whatever was needed. Early on he was given a title, OVG (Official Veterinary Go-fer), because his role was so critical. It is with a very heavy heart I announce his passing to the KIVS family. On April 19th, surrounded by family, my dad peacefully left this world. To honor him, our office will be closed Wednesday, April 30, 2025. I also want to express my gratitude for the patience and kindness of the clients and patients who have had their schedule rearranged during this difficult time.
